About Dropzone Denmark
Dropzone Denmark, at Herning Airport in the heart of Jutland, is the country's only professional skydiving centre and its leading school for solo (AFF) progression. In peak season it runs a team of around 40 — instructors, packers, pilots, ground crew and café staff — and draws jumpers of 30+ nationalities each year, with several world-elite coaches among its rotating foreign instructors.
The DZ flies a Cessna 208 Supervan, Denmark's largest and fastest jump ship — 20 skydivers per load, turbine-powered, climbing to 15,000 ft in about 15 minutes. Facilities are purpose-built for jumpers: Europe's largest swoop pond (90 × 30 m with circulating water and a gravel run-out), a big packing hangar with mats and weights, free rig racks, on-site packers, a café, merch shop and free Wi-Fi, all within 100 m of the landing area. It holds a 4.9-star average across 1,300+ reviews.
For US jumpers, Dropzone Denmark is best known internationally as the host of the HALO Boogie — Europe's highest skydive at 25,000 ft — and its team has pushed the sport on the world stage with jumps on Mount Everest and in Antarctica. It also runs satellite tandem operations in Northern Jutland (Sindal, near Aalborg).
