Skydive Glacier Country LLC is Montana's newest drop zone and the only skydiving center in the state with views of Glacier National Park. Located in Kalispell at Kalispell City Airport, the operation offers a singular aerial perspective: jumpers ascend over the Flathead Valley with unobstructed sightlines of Glacier National Park, the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Flathead Lake, and the peaks of the Flathead Range. The dropzone operates exclusively for tandem skydiving and opened for the season in May 2026.

The facility is run by Luke and Beth Short, owners with nearly 40 years of combined skydiving experience and approximately 3,000 jumps between them. Both hold advanced instructor certifications and national/world records. Luke is a SIGMA Tandem Instructor and FAA Senior Parachute Rigger. The Shorts also operate Skydive Missoula in the Bitterroot Valley, expanding accessible skydiving across Montana. Their passion for the sport drives their mission to introduce the next generation to skydiving through professional, safety-first instruction.

Tandem skydiving is the primary offering at Skydive Glacier Country. The experience includes pre-jump training, a scenic climb to altitude aboard a Cessna 182, free-fall at exhilarating speeds, and a peaceful parachute descent over the Montana wilderness. All tandem jumps are filmed, and jumpers receive video of their entire jump—pre-jump interview, scenic flight up, freefall, and parachute descent. The cost is $379 per person. The facility welcomes first-timers; no prior experience is required.
