About Skydive Paraclete XP
# Skydive Paraclete XP – Raeford, North Carolina Skydiving
Skydive Paraclete XP in Raeford, North Carolina, operates from PK Airpark (5W4) with one of the most distinctive fleets in American skydiving: a 1 Cessna 208 Grand Caravan, a 4 CASA 212, 1 Twin Otter, and 1 Skyvan. That mix of aircraft—particularly the rare Skyvan and twin-engine Twin Otter—sets this dropzone apart in the Mid-Atlantic region, offering tandem students and experienced jumpers reliable, high-capacity options for year-round operations.
Open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset, Skydive Paraclete XP welcomes tandem skydivers, AFF students, and experienced jumpers. The dropzone is conveniently located 14 miles southwest of Fayetteville and within easy reach of Raleigh and the Southern Pines, making it accessible to the broader Triangle region. The facility features a swoop pond, enclosed packing area, and full-service bar and grill—amenities designed to extend the skydiving experience beyond the jump itself.
For first-time tandivers, Skydive Paraclete XP offers structured tandem programs and maintains a reputation among students pursuing their USPA "A" license through the Paraclete Student Program (PSP). The PSP is a comprehensive, 18-level progression course that combines ground school, wind tunnel training at the on-site SkyVenture Paraclete XP indoor facility, and progressive freefall instruction. Wind tunnel access on-site is a major operational advantage, allowing students to accelerate their learning and refine body control before their first solo jump—a prerequisite many dropzones cannot match.
The facility caters to recreational jumpers, competitive skydivers, and those pursuing their initial certifications. Skydive Paraclete XP operates a full range of services, including equipment rentals, rigging and packing support, load organizing, and video services for tandem jumps. Whether jumping for the first time or training for advanced skills, visitors encounter a well-resourced operation with experienced instructors and comprehensive ground infrastructure.
Camping, RV parking with electricity, shower facilities, and team rooms are available, making Skydive Paraclete XP suitable for multi-day visits, training camps, and group skydiving events. The dropzone is a USPA-affiliated member and maintains safety standards across all its programs.
Located in the Mid-Atlantic region, Skydive Paraclete XP has established itself as a training-focused, year-round dropzone with distinctive aircraft, on-site wind tunnel capabilities, and infrastructure designed for both casual tandem jumpers and serious skydiving students.
