About Skydive The Falls (Downtown Niagara)
Skydive The Falls in Niagara Falls, NY is the only skydiving center that circles over the top of Niagara Falls by joining the scenic traffic pattern—a distinctive feature that guarantees guests some of the most breathtaking aerial views possible. This unique positioning at Niagara Falls International Airport sets the dropzone apart in the region, offering an unmatched combination of freefall thrills and natural wonder.
Operating from both a Lake Ontario location in Youngstown and a downtown Niagara Falls location, Skydive The Falls provides two distinct jump experiences. From the Youngstown base, skydivers depart from Windsor-Shear Airport (63NY), flying down the Niagara River and taking in sights including the Toronto skyline, Fort Niagara, the Artpark Amphitheater, and Whirlpool State Park before joining the scenic traffic pattern above Niagara Falls. The downtown Niagara Falls location offers an even more direct route, departing directly from Niagara Falls International Airport for an immediate circle over the Falls before landing back at the dropzone. Both locations provide views of the lower Niagara River and the Canadian shoreline.
The dropzone is a USPA Group Member Parachute Center and maintains all FAA safety regulations and standards, making it a trusted choice for skydivers of all levels. Skydive The Falls offers comprehensive training through its accredited Advanced Freefall (AFF) program, designed to teach students how to skydive using structured training methods throughout a complete course outline. The AFF program includes tandem skydives, ground training, seven solo skydiving levels with instructor accompaniment, and a first jump course (FJC) that typically takes 6-8 hours to complete. Upon finishing all seven levels, graduates are cleared for self-supervised solo freefall and can continue to coaching and additional training to earn an "A" class skydiving license from the USPA.
For licensed jumpers, Skydive The Falls operates Cessna Caravan and Cessna 182 aircraft, with exit altitudes of 10,000 to 14,000 feet. Licensed skydivers can enjoy full altitude jumps at $38 and hop-and-pop jumps from 4,500 feet at $30. Gear rental is available for $45 per jump. The dropzone is open Monday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. during its May to October season, operating tandems only during these hours.
The team at Skydive The Falls emphasizes the importance of knowing the facts about skydiving options and what sets them apart: the view, the people, the process, and the product. With the closest dropzone location to Buffalo, NY, Niagara Falls, and the surrounding region, Skydive The Falls delivers a truly distinctive skydiving experience where the landscape itself becomes an integral part of the jump.
