Since 1982, Skydive DeLand has been introducing jumpers to the sport of skydiving from its home at DeLand Municipal Airport in central Florida. Operating continuously for over four decades, the dropzone has become a world-renowned training destination and anchor business of the DeLand Parachute Industry—a cluster of more than 24 companies in the area that employ over 600 people in manufacturing, sales, technical, and academic roles related to parachute equipment and skydiving technology.

Skydive DeLand operates its full-service drop zone every day of the year, making it an accessible choice for both local jumpers and traveling skydivers. The facility is located just off Interstate 4, approximately 45 minutes north of Orlando and a half-hour's drive from Daytona Beach, positioning it as a convenient complement to Florida's major tourist attractions.

The dropzone is home to Skydive University, United Parachute Technologies' (RWS) tandem examiner center, underscoring its reputation as a training hub. The operation supports skydivers of all experience levels, from complete beginners to competitive athletes, with extensive facilities including a designated camping area, full-service restaurant with video theater, equipment rental sales, rigging service, packing service, and team rooms. The dropzone also offers RV space with electricity and shower facilities, catering to jumpers traveling from out of state.

Skydive DeLand has earned distinction as home to legendary National and World Champions and record holders. The dropzone offers two primary training pathways for first-time jumpers: tandem skydiving and the Accelerated Freefall (AFF) program, both of which were developed and tested at DeLand. The AFF program includes seven levels of progression, ground school instruction, and all required equipment, with personalized coaching to help jumpers advance at their own pace.

The facility operates a modern fleet including a Super Twin Otter and Caravan aircraft. Beyond training, Skydive DeLand hosts and supports numerous events and camps, including Fly4Life warm-up camps, FlightCamps, canopy courses, personal coaching through Tribu, wingsuit rentals, and high-altitude formation skydiving events with multiple-plane formations.
